Look past the Butt goal.

That first half was the most tepid rubbish I've seen since Dave McKay.

I have only one wish this Christmas:

BRUCE OUT NOW

Why?

All he does is tempt us every year with a big signing that doesn't happen and instead buys some chancer who is looking to reboot his career (ie Pennant). The man is tactically clueless and we will be lucky to escape the drop.

The man makes me nostalgic for a Cooper or Fry XI. Please Bruce just admit you're out of your depth and resign for the good of the club and the future of football in the West Midlands.

I still think Bruce should be sacked as i just cannot see us ever reaching the heights we want with such a tactically inept manager.

That said we have won 2 out of the last 3 games so for the time being i'll accept he has to stay a bit longer.

I will Mr T. I will.
I've been saying this since Sullivan announced that we were going to poach Bruce from Palace.
I'll still buy my away tickets and wear the cotton based training tops, but I look forward to the day when the words 'managers profile' in away programmes doesn't raise a snigger. (flat nose see)

Interesting that it's all the old names on here that are starting to say this....

class myself as oldish name and disagree...

its not bruce who danggles the big name signings its the board around season ticket time

at the moment it is about getting results, it don't matter how they come...

a change of manager may be the worst thing that could happen?

I cheered because it was the Blues, thats what were all here for after all. It was actually Trevs team in all but name, and we where building towards a goal rather than Bruce crisis management and headline grabbing stunts.
I was the miserable git on the train back from Cardiff saying that Bruce will have to work hard to keep the momentum and keep us up for three seasons.

Like you said we are here for the Blues and Steve Bruce or whatever manager is in charge comes under that...instead of calling for his head try and give him support.

The Blues and Bruce are seperate. The club were here before any of us, and will be here after any of us. To support the club right or wrong is a duty, to want the manager sacked is the privilage of the paying customer.
You don't agree then fine, your opinion is worth exactly the same as mine regardless of time spent etc. But I'll take the opportunity to throw my penn'orth into the hat every so often. It needs to be said, and usually everyone starts to come round to my way of thinking.....

He had the building blocks of a great club, it took Shankly 13 years before Liverpool won owt.

i think you'll find he had the building blocks of bob the bleedin builder mate - if he;s so good, who's he managed successfully since? or ever, for that matter? i loved tf as a player and feel priveliged to have watched him - but as a manager he was an unmitigated disaster at every club he went to; unless of course, you can prove otherwise? ;)

I think it is a mistake to simply say Bruce got us promoted so we have to stick with him.

Bruce will go down as one of the greats for getting us to the premiership but that dosent mean he is the man to take us to that next level of europe.

I think some people are letting sentiment cloud their judgement, just remember how Chelsea fans reacted to the sacking of their beloved Ranieri, i wonder how many of them still feel the same way?? Just because a manager is very likeable like Bruce dosent mean he shouldnt be sacked if he isnt up to the job.

To succeed in the premiership takes far more than simply hardwork and motivation, you need superb tactical knowledge and awareness. The extent of our tactics stretch to hoof ball in Heskey's direction, we will never achieve anything playing this way.

Our football is absolutely dire and has been for nigh on 2 years now. We have spent £12.5m on strikers alone in the last 12 months yet we have one of the worst scoring records in the whole premiership.

The one thing at the moment that might be saving Bruce (other than the fact we dont want to pay 4m to sack him) is that there are very few good managers available who we could get to replace him.

Whilst i agree whole heartedly Bruce is not the man for the job TF isnt either. I also have never rated him but i dont want us to learch from 1 no hope cause to another, we need to sign the right manager like that guy who has been sacked from.

We will apoint George Burley when we lose our first game in January of this i am sure.
